Price drop in tomato selection and ample ice cream selection at PENNY
With the arrival of summer, PENNY awaits customers with seasonal products and price reductions. From June 18, juicy, home-grown tomatoes will be on the shelves at even more favorable prices, while customers can choose from more than 100 types of ice cream in the heat. Extended opening hours around Lake Balaton and in several resort areas make summer shopping even more convenient.
Quality, domestic, at a budget-friendly price
PENNY pays special attention throughout the year to favoring domestic suppliers and encouraging sustainable shopping. In this spirit, seasonal Hungarian produce is in focus during the summer months, and the “Selected from Home” logo helps customers recognize domestic products. Juicy, flavorful tomatoes are an ideal choice for fresh salads, grilled dishes or a hearty summer lecsó. From June 18th, high-quality Hungarian produce will be available at even lower prices for a week, further strengthening PENNY’s commitment to shorter supply chains and budget-friendly shopping.
Cooling delicacies for everyone
Ice creams are the real favorites of hot days this year. PENNY offers more than 100 types of ice cream at budget-friendly prices – in boxed, stick and funnel versions. The popular Rios private label product line also includes fruity, dairy-free and protein-rich new products, as well as more unique flavors, including salted caramel, pistachio ice creams and fruit sorbets.
Extended opening hours during the summer season
In response to customer demand, PENNY is offering extended opening hours for holidaymakers and locals in several popular holiday areas, such as the Balaton, Lake Velence and Lake Tisza areas, from June 16 to August 31. PENNY’s goal remains to offer Hungarian households budget-friendly, quality products and a convenient shopping experience all year round, so that they don’t have to give up fresh Hungarian vegetables, fruits, seasonal delicacies and cooling sweets even on the hottest days.
