Czerván: flood damages on more than 10 thousand hectares of agricultural land
According to the informations of the Ministry of Agriculture, more than 10 thousand hectares of agricultural land was damaged by flooding so far – the Minister of State responible for agri management told MTI on Thursday in Mohács.
Czerván György noted that the large proportion of the land is plough field, the smaller part is pasture. 3 thousand of the 10 thousand hectares was flooded by groundwater, and 500 hectares that were used for defense was trodden.
The Secretary of State pointed out that the assessment of the damages in the flood-hit fields and farmlands is still ongoing, accurate national datas will only be available, after the defense has ended. (MTI)
