Rossmann managers became stockers and cashiers – the Fonyód store team traveled to Venice as a reward
On February 13, Rossmann’s senior managers took over the operation of the Fonyód store for a day in an unusual way. The store team had won the company’s first-ever Best Store Competition, which gave them a trip to the Venice Carnival as a reward. The exemplary initiative both recognizes outstanding performance and emphasizes the decisive role of the store teams in the company’s success.
On February 13, Rossmann customers in Fonyód woke up to a special day: on this day, the store was not run by the usual team, but by the company’s senior managers. The unusual “role reversal” was due to an exceptional success: the Fonyód store won the top prize in Rossmann’s first-ever Best Store Competition.
The company first announced the six-month competition in 2025, in which all stores participated under uniform conditions between April 1 and October 31. Several aspects were taken into account during the complex performance evaluation, including sales results, inventory indicators, store appearance and customer experience, as well as team cooperation and development.
Based on the overall results of the six months, the winner was Rossmann in Fonyód.
The 386 square meter store with a 138 linear meter assortment is one of the strongest stores in the southern region. Behind the success is a cohesive, stable team that achieved the result through conscious building, perseverance and consistent teamwork – both in season and out of season.
The reward for the victory is a three-day city tour, with the team choosing the Venice Carnival as its destination. While the colleagues from Fonyód are celebrating and recharging in Italy, Rossmann’s management personally ensured the smooth operation of the store.

The initiative is both about recognition and setting an example: the company’s leaders are also expressing that store work at all levels plays a key role in Rossmann’s success.
