Tea-producing countries are contributing in order to increase prices
The tea-producing countries established a professional organization under the International Forum of Tea-Producers name to achieve an increase in prices.
Sri Lanka, India, Kenya, Indonesia, Malawi and Rwanda are the founding members. These five countries are responsible for more than half of the world's tea production. However, the world's largest tea producer China is missing. The representatives of China and Iran were invited to the organization as observers, because most tea is consumed in these countries.
