Opera Gin Budapest won gold
The Opera Gin Budapest of the Első Magyar Gin Manufaktúra (First Hungarian Gin Manufactory) won a gold medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition. The Opera Gin Budapest debuted barely a year and a half ago. The distillery in Újpest was thus not only the flagship of the Hungarian gin renaissance, but also landed at the forefront of the world.
The International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC), held in London every year since 1969, has become the most recognized global professional competition to date. On August 7, the organizers announced the results of the Spirit categories. According to this, in the London Dry Gin category in 2020, Opera Gin Budapest won a gold medal with an outstandingly high score!
