GKI-Erste’s economic index stagnated in April
The seasonally adjusted value of the GKI-Erste economic index in April stayed on the level of March. According to the GKI Economic Research Co., in the business sector a minimal deterioration occurred, while a similar degree of improvement was observed among the consumers.
The GKI-Erste economic index improved to minus 19.3 points in April, after the minus 19 points of March. This value is very close to the value of last August.
Within the business sphere, only the expectations of the services firms deteriorated, expectations in the other sectors did not changed virtually. The industry remains the most optimistic sector. (MTI)
