Retail sales in the Czech Republic also decreased in April
Retail sales in the Czech Republic decreased by 7.7 percent year-on-year in April after the 9.5 percent decrease in March, the Czech Statistical Office announced on Wednesday in Prague.
The decline in retail sales in the Czech Republic has been going on for 12 months. Compared to March, traffic decreased by 0.3 percent.
It is clear from the published data that the decline in the sale of food and manufactured goods, which began in May last year, continued in April. However, the sale of fuels already showed an increasing trend in March, and this continued in April.
“The decrease in revenues affected all segments of retail, it also applies to online stores and mail order services”
– declared Marie Bousková, director of the statistical office.
