They celebrate 170 years of beer production in Köbány with an animated film
In 1854, the first brewery in Kőbánya began operating. Dreher Sörgyárak celebrates the 170th anniversary of its founding and the continuous production since then with a series of programs, which will be launched with the premiere of Animatiqua’s new film, which also uses artificial intelligence.
The film team brought the images from the first 100 years of the brewery to life using the parallax technique. The photos were first retouched and in some cases enhanced with the help of artificial intelligence. This was followed by “slicing”, i.e. disassembling the layers and 3D modeling. Finally, these models were moved relative to each other to achieve a live, motion picture effect. Each cut was completed in an average of 4 working days.
The earliest image that comes to life in the film is of Franz Anton Dreher, the father of Antal Dreher Sr., who founded the brewery, in the 18th century. century portrait, while the latest ones come from the 60s, from the time of assembly lines and beer tankers that replaced the iconic horse-drawn carriages. Between the two, we can see several special features, such as one of the country’s first moving neon signs above Nagymező Street in the 1930s. And the closing sequences already show the 21st century Dreher life pictures.
