America Voted: Budapest has become the second best city
Budapest has become the world's second best city in the online vote of the leading American travel magazine the Conde Nast Traveller. The Hungarian capital has received more than 86 thousand votes, barely lagging behind the winner.
The Italian city of Florence came first in the vote, with a lead of some 500 votes above the Hungarian capital. Vienna, Austria, came a close third, only seventy votes behind Budapest.
Among the top ten, Budapest overtook global favourites such as Sydney, Rome, Bruges, Prague, Paris or London. This year 128 thousand readers cast their votes. (MTI)
