Apples and pears from the EU can be transported to the U.S.
Apple and pear exports became available from European Union to the United States. Thus, the European producers may get a new sales opportunity after they lost a substantial part of their markets due to the Russian embargo – agrarszektor.hu wrote.
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) issued a draft regulation, which allows the export of apples and pears from the EU to the USA – European Commission’s Representation in Hungary informed. The new sales opportunities is a major advantage for the European farmers who have lost a significant part of their markets in 2014, with the introduction of sanctions against Russia.
