Lidl and WWF have entered into an ambitious international collaboration
Lidl, one of the largest retail companies, and WWF, one of the world’s largest independent conservation organizations, have announced the launch of a new five-year international and strategic partnership spanning 31 countries. The long-term cooperation with WWF focuses on joint cooperation affecting Lidl’s value chain to help address the global ecological challenges of our time and to make more sustainable products available to as many households as possible. The partners work closely together to promote operating models that are in harmony with nature and respect the limits of our planet.

The partnership is another element of Lidl’s commitment to sustainability, which it has been strengthening for years through its measures as part of its international sustainability strategy. The common goal of the partnership is to provide customers with an even more sustainable choice.
“We join forces”
Judit Tőssér, Head of Corporate Communications at Lidl Hungary:
“As one of the largest food retail chains, we are aware of our responsibility and influence. We consider it our responsibility to operate within the limits of the planet’s sustainability. For Lidl, sustainable operation is not only a matter of attitude, but also the basis for the future viability of our business model. With the support and expertise of the WWF, the we are now taking our commitment to sustainability to a higher level. Only by working together can we tackle major global challenges like climate change and biodiversity loss. That’s why we rely on this strong partnership to offer our customers more sustainable choices every day.”
