AM: it is time to rethink the agricultural targets set in the Green Agreement
The consequences of the Russian-Ukrainian war pose significant food security risks, so both the targets set in the Farmland to Table strategy and the green level of ambition for the CAP strategic plans need to be rethought and adapted to the situation, said the Ministry of Agriculture (AM). The head of the ministry in Brussels said in a statement on Monday.
At Monday’s Agriculture and Fisheries Council, EU agriculture ministers discussed the process of adopting strategic plans for the common agricultural policy (CAP). The Russian-Ukrainian war conflict raises serious food security concerns as Ukraine accounts for a significant share of world cereal production. (MTI)
