AM: Hungarian food industry enterprises continue to develop
The Ministry of Agriculture (MA) considers it particularly important to support domestic, quality food production companies, and is therefore supporting the implementation of 94 additional investment projects worth HUF 5.7 billion thanks to the call for applications for the development of processing plants under the CAP Strategic Plan, the ministry told MTI on Wednesday.
The investment support contributes to the ability of domestic small and medium-sized enterprises to improve the efficiency of their food processing.
Thanks to the funding, many bakeries, vegetable processors, pasta producers and meat processors can modernize or expand their existing plants, invest in new machinery or equipment, and renew their production technology for processing agricultural products.
Another key goal of the support is to increase energy self-sufficiency and reduce energy dependence by using environmentally friendly technologies, they wrote.
