The government will provide a one-time 1.9 billion HUF fund for duck and goose keepers, Minister of Agriculture Nagy István announced at a consultation with the participants of the sector in Mélykút, Bács-Kiskun County, on Friday, according to a statement from the Ministry of Agriculture.

The Minister drew attention to the fact that the aim of the Ministry of Agriculture is to position and strengthen farmers in all agricultural sectors. Nagy István reminded that the budget allocated for animal welfare subsidies, which is especially important for poultry farmers, has been steadily increasing since 2010 and has now reached 12 billion HUF, they wrote.
