AM: No intermediary is required for access to animal welfare subsidies
There is no need for an intermediary or third party to apply for poultry animal welfare subsidies, the Ministry of Agriculture (AM) said in a statement sent to MTI on Thursday.
The purpose of the subsidies is to compensate livestock farmers for their efforts to go beyond general standards in order to keep food-producing animals in the best possible conditions, thus providing consumers with sufficient, affordable, high-quality and safe food at all times. (MTI)
