Spring field work has begun
Due to the milder weather, this year’s spring field work began in the country in the first half of April – the Ministry of Agriculture (AM) told MTI.
Soil temperatures in much of the country are already adequate for sowing corn, and spring work alone can be slowed by the still extremely dry weather.
The first comprehensive report on spring field work is expected after April 23rd.
According to a survey by the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK), arable crops sown in the autumn are overwintered without frost damage, the stocks are in good condition, however, spring rainfall would be increasingly needed – AM added. (MTI)
