AM: the plantation tender has been published

The Ministry of Agriculture (MoD) is announcing a tender with fifteen billion forints in the framework of the Rural Development Program to support plantation and medicinal plant production, Minister of Agriculture Nagy István announced according to the Ministry’s announcement on Wednesday.

The Minister drew attention to the fact that thanks to the call, support could be applied for the establishment of new fruit and herb plantations, the construction of an irrigation system belonging to the areas, the establishment of an ice protection network to reduce or prevent adverse climate effects and the construction of frost protection systems. In addition, the tender will provide for the purchase of harvesting equipment and machinery. It is planned that the contribution could help create up to 5,000 hectares of new plantations. (MTI)
