AM: Hungary continues to strive for close cooperation with the FAO
Hungary continues to strive for close cooperation with the FAO, the Ministry of Agriculture (AM) told MTI on Tuesday.
According to the announcement, Minister of Agriculture István Nagy, who received FAO Deputy Director-General Viorel Gutu in his office, stated that Hungary wants to draw attention to the reduction of food waste in Europe and the eradication of poverty in some regions of the world in connection with the Hungarian EU presidency.
At the beginning of the meeting, István Nagy congratulated Viorel Gutu on his appointment as Deputy Director General. He emphasized that Hungary is very proud of the fact that the World Food and Agriculture Organization has its regional headquarters in Budapest, which is very important for Hungary. They therefore want to further strengthen the existing cooperation – they wrote.
