The Deputy State Secretary responsible for international relations and European Union affairs said that Hungary adopted its Digital Agricultural Strategy in 2019. The essence of this is that Hungarian agriculture can simultaneously increase its productivity and competitiveness through modern technology, while meeting sustainability requirements – they wrote. Oszkár Ökrös highlighted that Hungary places great emphasis on increasing the digital knowledge of agricultural actors, expanding digital innovation, developing data-driven administration and supporting investments serving the digital transformation. He added that artificial intelligence (AI) is also gaining more and more ground in Hungarian agriculture, especially in terms of decision support, as previously it took weeks to analyze unmanageable amounts of data, but now artificial intelligence can make recommendations and make decisions in minutes – the announcement says. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is organizing the Regional Science and Innovation Week in Budapest for the second time, which is being held at the same time as the global forum on green agriculture. The event aims to promote the greening of agri-food systems in FAO member countries, and to this end, the world organization provides a platform for knowledge sharing between regions and the dissemination of best practices in policies and strategies that promote the greening of agriculture – AM reported.
