AM: land sales program continues

Farmers will have the opportunity to purchase more than 3,100 pieces of state-owned land with an area of less than 10 hectares from Monday. Purchase offers can be made for the areas for 30 days, i.e. until December 17, 2025, on the Electronic Tender System (EPR) of the Ministry of Agriculture – the Ministry of Agriculture (AM) told MTI on Monday.

According to the statement of the Ministry of Agriculture, AM continues to support Hungarian farmers’ access to land, as they are the ones who cultivate the areas with their everyday work and provide Hungarian families with safe food. The land for sale, primarily for grape cultivation, also serves to clean up the state land portfolio, as the properties being advertised are typically small areas wedged between privately owned lands, the cultivation of which can be carried out most favorably by the users of neighboring properties. In the first phase of the land sales program, which will start in November, more than 480 hectares of land are being offered for sale in several hundred settlements
