AM: it could be a death sentence for European agriculture if Brussels implements the provisions of the Green Deal on the basis of proposals from the European Commission
The from the Farmland to the Table presented by the European Commission poses an insoluble task for farmers, and the Biodiversity Strategy, and not only does it not create opportunities for farmers, but it directly threatens the future of European agriculture. According to preliminary analyzes, the proposed measures will lead to a 15 percent reduction in European agricultural production, Minister of Agriculture Nagy István told MTI.
The head of the ministry emphasized that both farmers and the Ministry of Agriculture are committed to creating a sustainable environment, but at the same time, hiding behind environmental and climate protection aspects in the proposals included in the European Green Deal, Brussels would set targets that are impracticable.
