AM: 2021will be a transitional period for EU agricultural support
There will be a transition period next year for EU agricultural subsidies, while the new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) will be governed by the regulation for the 2014-2020 period for another year – the Secretary of State, responsible for Agriculture and Rural Development said at a background conversation in Budapest on Friday.
Feldman Zsolt explained that the adoption of EU-level legislation and the 2021-2027 budget will be greatly hampered by the formation of the new European Parliament and the European Commission last year and Brexit. As a result, EU legislation will certainly not be ready for the date originally planned. (MTI)
