AM State Secretary: the Ministry of Agriculture provides assistance to fish farmers
The government will provide HUF 3.1 billion in support to Hungarian fish producers until the end of this year – the Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture (AM) responsible for the implementation of rural development programs told Kossuth radio Good morning, Hungary! in his Thursday show.
György Zsolt Papp announced: with the so-called crisis support, they want to provide tangible help to fish farmers suffering from difficulties due to the rising feed prices due to last year’s drought and the Russo-Ukrainian war, i.e. fish farms and fish farmers with intensive operations. Those affected can benefit from the freed up resources of the Hungarian Fisheries Operational Program in a total of HUF 3.1 billion support with 100% support intensity, the payments will be made by the end of this year – he explained. he added: all businesses, civil organizations, national parks, and municipalities that can be proven to have produced fish in the past year can benefit from the crisis support. Applicants to the call available on palyazat.gov.hu have the opportunity to submit support applications from July 23, payment applications must be submitted by the end of October, the ministry will close the payments by the end of the year – announced György Zsolt Papp.
Within the framework of the Hungarian Fisheries Operational Program Plus, more than twenty billion forints will be provided for the development of the sector, and the efficient use of these funds will also be facilitated by the strategic cooperation recently established between the Hungarian Aquaculture and Fisheries Inter-Agency and MBH Bank, added the deputy state secretary.
