AM Minister of State: to maintain EU agricultural subsidies is an expectation
Hungary cannot accept a larger reduction than the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union justifies, so keeping current Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) funds at the current level is a minimum requirement – Feldman Zsolt, Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture Ministry Agriculture said at the Agricultural and Fisheries, Council meeting in Luxembourg on Monday.
The Minister of State, according to a statement from the Ministry of Agriculture, stressed that with the separation of one of the biggest contributors, the United Kingdom, there is no realistic way to keep the current CAP budget of 382 billion euros. Hungary can only accept a reduction justified by the British exit. (MTI)
