AM: the Szupermenta product test program provides additional information for purchase
The National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) Szupermenta product test program provides important additional information for conscious shopping – emphasized Olga Beáta Felkai, Deputy State Secretary responsible for the food chain of the Ministry of Agriculture (AM) on Monday at an event held in Budapest to mark the program’s 10th anniversary.
She highlighted that the Nébih product test program is based on a complex testing system and supports education and conscious shopping.
The Deputy State Secretary explained that since the program’s launch, in the past 10 years, 2,400 products have been tested in more than 110 product groups, and 230,000 laboratory tests have been performed.
The popularity of the program is indicated by the fact that 4.7 million people have viewed the program’s website, and its social media platforms are followed by about 30,000 people.
Consumer confidence is strengthened by the Szupermenta logo, which can be applied for on the basis of the results achieved in the test, the deputy state secretary said.
The 10th anniversary publication states that the right to use the logo can be obtained for one year by the manufacturer, producer or first Hungarian distributor of the top three products.
The Szupermenta product test program was included in the sectoral value repository of the Ministry of Agriculture as a national value in 2022.
Following the laboratory test, the invited guests and experts participating in the ceremony conducted a popularity test of 19 coconut sugar bars. Based on the popularity test, the first place went to the coconut sugar bar dipped in dark chocolate from Spar, the milk chocolate sugar bar from the Favorina brand came in second place, and the coconut sugar bar from Lissé came in third.
