AM: Agriculture needs to be prepared for the challenges of climate change
Hungarian agriculture needs to be prepared for the challenges of climate change – Farkas Sándor, Parliamentary Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture (AM) said on Friday in Hajdúböszörmény at the 7th Hajdúsági Expo.
Farkas Sándor pointed out in his speech that the heat in the days is extremely difficult for both man and animals. In Hungary livestock farms are not yet sufficiently air-conditioned, so farmers can not be competitive. In order to make agriculture a sure livelihood over the long run, efficiency must be increased – he added.. (MTI)
