AM: geographical indications give respect to their owners
Geographical indications promote the competitiveness of quality agricultural products
At the Geographical Indications Award Gala held within the framework of the National Agricultural, Food Exhibition and Fair, the Secretary of State emphasized that geographical indications ensure the protection of Hungarian agricultural, food, wine and spirits names in all EU Member States and worldwide, through international agreements. Our geographical indications are part of our cultural heritage. Our motivation is to provide producers with a unique tool that cannot be reproduced by others, with which they can credibly differentiate their products in the face of fierce market competition. Our intention is to further strengthen the system of geographical indications and to actively support the value-creating work of producer communities, the Ministry of Agriculture added. (MTI)
