Kaufland to introduce aluminium lids for milkshakes
German retailer Kaufland has announced plans to replace plastic lids from all ‘K-to go’ milkshakes with aluminium lids, starting in October 2019. In March the retailer already replaced plastic lids in its ‘K-to go’ coffee range with the aluminium alternative. The implementation of this can save a total of over 55 tons of plastic from the packaging of all products at country level.
