Smurfit Kappa Unveils Sustainable Packaging For Multipack Beverages
Smurfit Kappa has introduced a range of sustainable packaging alternatives to replace single-use plastics in bundling beverage cans and bottles.
The new corrugated packaging options offered by the company are 100% recyclable, renewable, and biodegradable.
The range comprises three products – GreenClip, TopClip, and Nor-Grip.
GreenClip offers an alternative for plastic rings used to group six cans.
The second product, TopClip, aims to replace stretch film used in bundling cans in one pack.
It covers the top of the cans, protecting them from contamination and providing excellent branding opportunities.
The solution cuts carbon footprint by 30% compared to its plastic alternative, the packaging giant added.
