They wouldn’t dream of using ATMs for anything
ATMs are part of our everyday lives: we can quickly get cash, check our balance, or even pay bills through them – in the case of K&H, even contactless. However, what people leave there or what surprising things they do at an ATM is another story! K&H Bank has collected the strangest cases that have actually happened.
Extreme finds at ATMs
ATMs often give and accept money – but it seems that sometimes users interpret this system differently. The items left behind were probably left at ATMs because they were looking for their bank cards: the card was probably there, but things taken out of pockets and bags were left there.
The following have been found in ATMs:
• change – in any currency, and even expired banknotes and old pengós!
• paper clips, small metal objects – just in case the ATM needs a little extra metal…
• gum, hair ties – you probably have to be prepared for every eventuality at an ATM
• shopping list, newspaper, envelope – maybe someone wrote down what to buy at the store while withdrawing money.
• point-collecting stickers – after all, you can also collect points with bank transactions…
• ID cards – ID, address card, driver’s license, anything that can be left in a pocket.
Body lotion to make the ATM feel good too? the strangest cases
ATMs are basically used for cash withdrawals and banking transactions – but some people have also creatively equipped them with new functions:
• the best place to put a drink – coffee or soft drinks are regularly left on top of the machine, which then spill and flow into the machine. Someone smeared body lotion on the monitor and keyboard – maybe they thought it would make them more sensitive to touch?
