Consumer protection agency recalls peanut butter due to allergen alert
Based on the European Union’s Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed Safety (RASFF), the National Trade and Consumer Protection Authority (NKFVH) has recalled the Turkish Gourmet Celebi Erdnuss Creme Yer Fistigi Kremasi hazelnut cream.
Unlabeled allergens – hazelnut, pistachio and almond – have been identified in the product, the consumption of which may pose a serious health risk to sensitive consumers.
The affected batch is manufactured by Kureysogullari Gida Tarim Ürün. Teks. Nak. Pet. Amb. Otom. Tic. Ltd., which was also brought to Hungary through a German importer, Akar GmbH. The recall concerns the 300 gram package with batch number 8681334011195, with a best before date of 27 June 2026.
The NKFVH warns consumers not to use the product, especially those with allergies to hazelnuts, pistachios or almonds. The distributor is obliged to immediately remove the affected products from the shelves.
