Aldi Süd and Kaufland lead the way in animal welfare in Germany
Aldi Süd and Kaufland are the leaders among German food retail chains when it comes to animal welfare, according to the latest Greenpeace Supermarket Check survey. Aldi Süd took the top spot for the third time after 2021 and 2023, while Kaufland finished second. Edeka, Lidl and REWE also made it into the Top 5. Greenpeace Supermarket Check has analysed eight major food retailers in Germany.
