Animal feed from Pakistani locusts
Pakistan has been plagued by an increasingly severe locust invasion for years. This year’s “season” has already begun and may last until mid-September – origo wrote. Scientists are working hard to develop methods to recover insects that cause massive economic damage.
The biggest invasion of locusts was in June 2019, when their numbers broke a 30-year record and the insects came from neighboring Iran.
As a result of the locust infestation natural disaster situaTION was declared officially in Pakistan on 1 February this year. (origo)
