Concession stores can come in alcohol trade
The government is considering that similar to the tobacco products, the alcoholic goods that have a 15-20 percent higher alcohol content to be sold in stores with only concession – Népszava writes.
Such products would be pálinkas with more than 38 degrees of alcohol, exclusively made of domestic brewed fruits, the so-called 'spirit' drinks, as well as lower degree alcoholic liquors as well.
In contrast to tobacco products, traders have a larger benefit on alcoholic beverages – an expert requesting anonymity told to Népszava. If only concession stores will sell spirits, thousands of small stores can get into trouble, because there is only a little benefit on bread, milk and other food products.
In recent years, the domestic consumption of hard liquors decreased fom 4 liters to 3 liters. (Népszava Online)
