33 senators issued a constitutional protest against the draft law that would ban smoking in enclosed public areas in Romania – the Mediafax news agency published.
Though earlier Klaus Iohannis president of Romania welcomed the adoption of the law and said that he would not delay the enactment of the ban, but it could not take effect in 2015, because the Constitutional Court scheduled the evaluation of the protest for 27 January 2016. (MTI)
