Alimentaria 2012 – the world's largest food trade fair will be held at the end of March

The Alimentaria is one out of the world's three largest food and hospitality trade exhibitions. The fair is being held every second year in Barcelona  this year from March 26 to 29.

Organizer of the 19th edition, the Fiera de Barcelona company carried out effective promotional campaigns in Spain and abroad.

The net exhibition area reaches 95 thousand square meters. Organizers expect 4000 exhibitors and 140,000 professional visitors, the expected number of arrivals from abroad now exceeds 35 thousand.

At this year’s Alimentaria, companies from 75 countries will present their products on 9,500 square meters. Thematically, the exhibition will be divided to 14 different sectors of the industry. The largest exhibition will be the Intervin, but the Intercarn dealing with meat products will also occupy 11 thousand square meters of exhibition space.
