The pace of agricultural producer price increases is barely moderating
In April, producer prices increased by 6.6 percent after a 7.0 percent increase in March and an average 8.0 percent increase of the first two months – according to the latest data available on the website of the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
The price increase for vegetable products decreased to 6.8 percent in April from the 12.1 percent of the previous month, but due to a sharp 16.6 percent increase in the price of slaughter pigs, the purchase price of live animals was 8.2 percent higher than a year before. (MTI)
