German retailer Aldi to sell insurances
German discount retail chains Aldi Nord and Aldi Sued plan to add insurances to their offering of cheap groceries and household products, Financial Times Deutschland reported, citing sources in the insurance industry.
Aldi Nord will cooperate with insurer
Signal Iduna, according to the newspaper. Neither Aldi nor Signal Iduna would
comment, Financial Times Deutschland said. The two retail chains operate about
4,000 outlets across Germany, the paper added.
