Surging coffee prices trigger consumer pain
Over the last six months a highly speculative green coffee market and dramatically increased commodity costs have completely altered the economic and financial picture of many players in the coffee industry, therefore a number of retailers – including SPAR and Coop – will increase their coffee-prices.
SPAR and Coop and several other chains have announced that it will charge more for many of its drinks to compensate for surging coffee prices, although SPAR's private lable products are not affected.
