Food Codex finally signed
After much waiting, the Food Codex has finally been signed on Thursday. 80% of products would be of Hungarian origin starting from 1st July.
As known codex-trials bled between dealers, adapters and producers with mediation of Ministry of Agriculture since January. Finally, the Food Codex has finally been signed on Thursday. József Grál, director of the agricultural department pointed out that now that the codex has been signed, a many-month-long agreement procedure is over. According to the Food Codex, 80% of products would be of Hungarian origin starting from 1st July, so a flood of Hungarian products in supermarkets is to be expected.
