Mondi increases its presence in Western Europe via acquisition
Packaging firm Mondi has entered into an agreement to acquire the packaging operations of Schumacher Packaging in Germany, Benelux and the UK. The acquisition will add around one billion square metres to Mondi’s current capacity, expanding its corrugated footprint in Western Europe and add additional fibre-based products to the company’s offering for the e-commerce and FMCG segments.
