The AutoWallis Group Retail Business increased new vehicle sales by 13 percent thanks to the international acquisitions closed last year, while the Wholesale Business’s sales decreased in the first quarter compared to the same period last year, primarily due to one-off effects. The region’s leading car dealer and mobility service provider’s used car sales skyrocketed, expanding by more than 57 percent, while the number of service hours and short-term vehicle rentals also grew nicely.

The AutoWallis Group Retail Business, listed in the Budapest Stock Exchange Premium category, started 2025 with strong growth: it increased its new vehicle sales by 12.7 percent to 2,731, while its used car sales by 57.1 percent to 938 units in the first quarter. Of the increase in new vehicle sales, 520 units were due to the Czech acquisitions closed last year – the three BMW dealerships of NC Auto (Stratos) and the acquisition of Milan Král Group – as well as the sales of the Renault and Dacia dealerships in Budapest that opened in the autumn. The Retail Business Unit showed a decrease in the first three months of the year excluding acquisitions compared to the same period last year. This is mainly due to the strong base period: sales jumped at this time last year due to the campaigns of the Japanese brands (Toyota, Suzuki, Nissan) closing the 2023 Japanese business year in March. The Business Unit’s used vehicle sales jumped by 57.1 percent to 938, of which 46.1 percent was due to acquisitions, while the number of service hours increased by 60.3 percent to 80,308 hours (of which 58.7 percent was an acquisition effect).

AutoWallis Wholesale Business Unit sold 8,145 cars in the first quarter of 2025, down 5.1 percent, partly due to one-off effects. The decline is primarily due to the delayed market launch and production of the new versions of the Opel Grandland and Frontera models, which are expected to have a positive impact only in the coming quarters.

At AutoWallis Mobility Services Business Unit (which includes the Group’s short- and long-term car rental and fleet management), the number of rental events decreased slightly by 2.9 percent, while the number of rental days increased by 13.6 percent to 43,515. The average fleet size of the AutoWallis Group increased by 2.7 percent to 3,776 vehicles in the first three months of the year.
