Friends strengthens its presence in Meki with acoustic sofa concerts and the long-awaited Friends mugs

The Hungarian McDonald’s Friends campaign continues with acoustic concerts organized around the famous sofa and the long-awaited Friends mugs. The second act of the collaboration with the creators of the Friends series not only visually evokes the world of the Central Perk café, but also brings the atmosphere of the series as a real community experience with live music programs. In addition, the much-awaited special Friends mugs will also arrive in the restaurants.
An acoustic concert series awaits visitors at the iconic McDonald’s on Nyugati Square, a location that evokes the imaginary café of the series, on the last weekend of February and the first weekend of March. The performers of the event series, organized around a replica of the series’ sofa, arrive immediately before the light show and DJ set at the Nyugati Lounge.On February 27 and 28, and March 6 and 7, between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM, two emerging performers will occasionally take the stage and provide an “unplugged” musical experience. The concept of the program is not accidental: the performers appear before the audience without a band, with a single guitar and their own artistic message. Thus, the emphasis is on individual voice and sound, self-identical expression and direct connection. These concerts will evoke the atmosphere of Phoebe’s Central Perkös performances in a domestic setting
In addition to the musical experiences, the Friends mug offer* will also be available in McDonald’s units in Hungary from February 24. The Friends relics, which come in four designs, have been eagerly anticipated: the mugs have already been released in several foreign markets, and many Hungarian fans have indicated that they would like to get their hands on the limited edition mugs created from the collaboration between the two brands here.
The domestic launch has been part of the restaurant chain’s plans from the beginning, so the campaign is being completed in line with the current period. The Friends mug will be available in four designs in the promotion – while supplies last. These graphics refer to well-known locations in the series: from the purple door, to the fountain, to the Central Perk café and its sofa.
