Positive balance for foreign trade
Exports totalled HUF 6,394 in January-April 2008, while imports amounted to HUF 6,309. The volume of export was up by 19 per cent compared to April 2007, while imports grew by 15 per cent. 2008. Foreign trade showed a positive balance of HUF 86 billion, which was an improvement of HUF 164 billion, compared to the same period in 2007. Exports totalled HUF 1,637 billion in April, while the volume of imports was HUF 1,625. Exports were up by 27 per cent compared to April 2007, while imports were 22 per cent higher.
