Those who buy Hungarian onion help our farmer
In the spring of 2017 NAK set up an onion working group with the aim of making the Hungarian onion sector more competitive. NAK organises talks between farmers and retailers, plus there are onion variety presentations and professional consultations. Shoppers buy common onion as a fresh product throughout the year, and because of this the level of import is also high. Hungary exports 1,000-2,000 tons of common onion and 600-800 tons of garlic a year. //
