Acacia coalition formed for the protection and recognition of the acacia and acacia honey
An Acacia coalition was formed for the protection and for the recognition of the acacia and acacia honey, with the participation of several agro and forestry professional organizations – Glattfelder Béla (Fidesz) MEP informed MTI on Monday.
Glattfelder Béla, organizer of the initiative told that the cooperation aims to protect the acacia and the related activities, in particular the protection of apiary, against the growing number of attacks and limiting intentions.
“Our aim is to take action against the EU and national efforts that want the restriction of the acacia or extermination or exclusions from supports. In addition, we initiate to classify the acacia and acacia honey as Hungaricums, so we can create the long-term safety of growing and utilization.” – the MEP added. (MTI)
