The company hopes the technology will help ease the workload in a sector where workers traditionally perform lots of manual tasks. Helsinki-based Kaffa Roastery’s “AI-conic” coffee blend made its debut at the end of April, in the country where 5.6 million people live and, according to the International Coffee Organisation, where the world’s coffee consumption is the biggest at 12kg per person per year. The blend of four types of coffee beans, selected by AI and dominated by the velvety flavour of Brazil’s Fazenda Pinhal, is the result of cooperation between Kaffa and local AI consultancy Elev. //
