Aldi introduces AI-powered checkout-free technology in the US
Germany’s Aldi and its partner Grabango have officially announced the launch of an Aldigo pilot programme, offering checkout-free technology in one of the discount chain’s Chicago stores.

Aldi and Grabango have been testing the new technology since late 2023. After downloading the Grabango app, shoppers can add items to their cart and at the end of the shopping trip they have to scan a QR code, and the system will charge the bill to their online account. //
