Agrometeorology: the size of inland water areas is increasing
In most parts of the country, the upper one-meter layer of the soil is already saturated, and the size of the areas flooded with inland water is increasing, the National Meteorological Service wrote in its agrometeorological analysis on Thursday.
They wrote that the rainy weather has continued for the past week, since Saturday morning in the southern part of the country between 30 and 50 millimeters, while in the north between 10 and 25 millimeters, it was less in the Little Plain. The amount of precipitation in the last 30 days exceeds 100 millimeters in a large area, and the amount for 90 days exceeds 200 millimeters, both of which are significantly more than the average for many years throughout the country. The upper one-meter layer of the soil is in a saturated state in most of the country, and the size of the areas flooded with inland water is increasing.
The heavy rain has already stopped on the fields in a large area of the Alföld and the Little Plain
Stocks do not like permanent water coverage, especially at average temperatures above 4-5 degrees Celsius. The water already reaches the deeper layers, which in turn means a favorable outlook for the next year. According to the forecast, the weather will cool down temporarily from Friday, the nights will typically become frosty, on Saturday and Sunday it will be colder than minus 5 degrees in frost-prone places, and then humid, foggy weather is expected in an increasingly large area with persistent fog, but without significant precipitation.
