Agrometeorology: the developing canola would need rain a lot
The developing rapeseed needs a lot of rain, but the cold front arriving on Sunday will bring only little precipitation, and morning frosts are expected again in the first half of next week due to the arrival of arctic air, the National Meteorological Service wrote in its agrometeorological analysis on Thursday.

They wrote: the top 20 centimeter layer of the soil has dried up a lot since the last nationwide rainfall at the end of September, and the deeper soil layers dried up in a large area by the beginning of autumn, and the moisture has not been replenished since then.
According to the analysis, the corn harvest is in full swing
Dry, warm weather is favorable for achieving optimal eye moisture, and this time also favors the harvesting of fruits and the development of a favorable sugar level. The rain at the end of September meant a lot to the autumn cabbage-rape, but since then the soil has dried up a lot and the small plants with mostly 4-6 leaves would really benefit from another heavy rainfall. The preparation of the seed beds for the autumn ears of corn is taking time, and in many places the seeds are already in the soil, but the upper part of the soil is too dry for germination.
According to the forecast of the meteorological service, the weather will become changeable in the next period
The early autumn weather will remain until Saturday, then on Sunday a marked cold front will bring a cold air mass of Arctic origin, and on Monday the peak value is only likely to be between 11 and 16 degrees. In the first half of next week, light frost is expected in many places in the morning. The cold front also brings precipitation, but not a lot: on average, the amount of weekly precipitation remains between 2 and 10 millimeters, so the layer near the surface of the soil only gets wet in small areas, this much rain in most parts of the country will not be enough for the developing canola – was written.
